Budget Travel

As a Canadian, are you looking for ways to save money on your next trip and budget travel?  This section of the genymoney.ca blog is for you.  Travel hacking tips such as using credit cards to get free hotels, free flights, and free car rentals are also included here.  My experiences with travel hacking are all laid out here, for example, this is how we travel hacked Hawaii and went on the cheap, stayed on the Big Island for $120 for 5 nights.

On the genymoney.ca blog, I also review things like PC Travel and whether it is a good experience to book your travel plans with them.  We booked our rental car through PC Travel.

Frugal and minimalist packing lists are also included in this section of budget travel, such as how to pack for a 12 day trip with a 6 month old baby using only carry on.  The best thing about traveling with an infant is that you can bring a carry on, a personal item, and a diaper bag, and these are all considered free with your airplane ticket.

Is Legoland Hotel Worth the Money

I begrudgingly booked Legoland Pirate Hotel even though the price per night was astronomical.  Per night, it was more than our 5 star hotel honeymoon suite in Waikiki, Honolulu, a few years back.  So is Legoland Hotel worth the money? On our recent trip to …

Unfortunately with the pandemic, we witnessed a lot of great businesses close down, and Roam Mobility was one of them. I used Roam Mobility for a few years and unfortunately in July 2020, Roam Mobility Canada ceased operations. It was a bit sad and nostalgic …

Maldives Trip Cost from Canada

It has been on my bucket list for a long long time to visit The Maldives. The overwater bungalows, the turquoise clear waters, and the white sand powder beaches seem so appealing and yet so unattainable. Exactly how much does a Maldives trip cost from …

PC Travel Review

With the PC Insiders program becoming more and more popular, the PC Optimum program being more and more popular, AND being having Loblaw’s Presidents Choice Financial credit card taking the crown as Canada’s favourite credit card according to a credit card survey, I’m sure more …
